I love to travel, whether I'm with friends or by myself and making new friends as I travel. I particularly love Japan, I have been 6 times in the last 6 years. This includes a 2 exchanges/home-stays, and I also worked at a ski resort in Hakuba for a season- one of the greatest times of my life so far. My first rule with anything is to always give anything a try at least once, whether its a strange new food or taking quiet backstreets to find interesting shops/bars/restaurants.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I hope to meet friendly people here, and to have an opportunity to experience my travel from a different perspective than checking in and out of hotels. I would like to share with people the easy-going Australian way of life, and take part in exchanging cultures for our mutual benefit.
Teach, Learn, Share
I speak Japanese at a high level, I can teach and share about the Japanese language and culture. I can also speak little bits of Korean, German and Russian- but don't expect a very long conversation. I've learned that the people I meet in my travels are what makes travelling worth it, and I hope that I can also enrich the people I come across.
What I Can Share With Hosts
I really want to teach each other our mother languages, I can help my hosts with English, and try engage with them in their language. I am keenly interested to learn about your language, culture, food, as well as your personal experiences in life, work and travel.
