CURRENT MISSION To learn how to ride a giraffe unicycle. ABOUT ME When we are home, my partner and I work hard in the fall and spring months so that we can travel and play hard over our winter and summer "breaks." (We are both mainly employed through colleges). Frolicking in the waves, hiking, biking and swimming in local streams and swimming holes keeps me happy in the summer. Oh, and I am obsessed with pickleball.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I was thrilled to find CS in 2008 and enjoy hosting travelers when we have space, and do some couch surfing myself. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE Before I found couch surfing, I would do long distance bicycle trips, and friendly "strangers" have let me camp in their yards or farmers in their fields. I find this type of serendipitous travel way more stimulating and fun. My couch surfing experiences through this site have all been extremely rewarding. The people I have met have all been smart and stimulating conversationalists, and very down-to-earth. The concept of meeting fascinating people from all over the world, and sharing our homes is revolutionary and at the same time is just common sense.
Music, Movies, and Books
Favorite recent Books: Anything David Sedaris, "Middlesex," "Into the Wild," any book by Oliver Sacks, "Kite Runner," ... Films: all time favorites: Antonia's Line, Y Tu Mama Tambien, Amelie, Shortbus
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Witnessing millions of Monarch Butterflies from all over North America congregate at a sanctuary El Rosario, Mexico. Breath taking!
