I'm a HUGE literature nerd and I would spend my life reading world literature in every original language if I could (and if I could earn some money for that.) I love and I studied mainly French, English and American literature but I'm eager to discover your literature (and therefore your language). My favorite novel.... Ahhh, difficult. 5 nominees : Master and Margarita, by Mikhail Bulgakov. Brothers Karamazov, by Fiodor Dostoyevsky Martin Eden, by Jack London Portrait of the artist as a young man, by James Joyce Voyage au bout de la nuit, L-F Céline + Hadji Mourad, Leo Tolstoy. Ok, I couldn't resist OH and everything Jorge Luis Borges ever wrote (They're short stories so it doesn't count!)
