Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I love people and all of their complicated humanity. I’m looking to meet new, interesting, people who will help expand my view and understanding. Also, something I haven’t done and I’m curious.
Music, Movies, and Books
BOOKS: Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, One Hundred Years of Solitude, The Namesake, Between the World and Me, are a few of those special books. MUSIC: All music. I mean it. Portugal the Man, Vicente Fernandez, Maná, Tame Impala, Snoop Dogg, Barrington Levy, The Cure, The Doors, Mariah Carey. MOVIES: Forest Gump, Into the Wild, are a few special ones.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
I might not be the best person for this question. I think life has been a series of amazing occurrences. Rock climbing anywhere, but mostly in the Eastern (high) Sierra Nevadas easily makes it to the top of the list.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to share perspectives and stories. I think learning and teaching are the the best things in life. I know a bit about clothing, weaving, and textiles. Some graphic design and computer aided drawing (CAD). Spanish is my first spoken language though English is my most commonly spoken language. I can help work on those languages with you. I am also working on improving my literacy (reading & writing) in Spanish.
What I Can Share With Hosts
Perspectives and fun conversations. I’m a very friendly person and I love to talk about almost anything. I can share about my culture(s) and experience as a Mexican-American.
My Interests
I love running and yoga. Starting to try acro yoga. Hiking. Rock climbing, though I’m out of practice. Writing and reading. Visual arts: painting & sketching.
