It's the best opportunity to meet people from whole world. For me every meeting, talking with somebody is valuable and gives for each side something new. We are so so different and it's beautiful that we can improve ourselves by meeting people and spend time with them. I love traveling so I also now how difficult for students, people earn not so much money is to find accomodation during the trip... Often because of the price of hotels, apartments they stopped traveling. So in 100% I'm for couchsurfing!
