In the US over the summer, so cannot accept guests at the moment :( ABOUT ME I am a 21-year-old Danish student at King's College London pursuing a bachelor's degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics. I have been fortunate to get offered a place to stay in New York in 7 weeks this summer, and while living there I hope to be able to visit other cities on the East Coast and particularly Washington and Boston. I am very interested in startups in the technology sector, and this is also what I want to learn more about while being in New York. As student I of course prefer travelling on budget - but the reason why I use couch surfing is not only about money. I have had amazing experiences living with families and friends around the world - you get a whole different expression of a country or a city, when it is viewed from a "native's" point of view. I crave local culture and food - and I would love to make a Danish a meal for my host as well - who would say no to some Danish "Frikadeller"?!

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
To experience a new place in the right way: From a local's perspective! But also to meet new people. First time I couchsurfed was in London - the guy I stayed at is a friend of mine I see regularly in London, and through him I have been introduced to a variety of other couch surfers. I think the networking effect through couch surfing is amazing, and my experiences have been exclusively positive so far!
Music, Movies, and Books
I like jazz a lot, but are listening to a lot of different music. I play the piano myself.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Went to New York and London for internships - fantastic way to learn. And driving from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi on 30 year old motorbikes in Vietnam with my brother last summer - amazing country, people and food!
My Interests
Food and cooking, sports - especially soccer and the triathlon disciplines, politics and international affairs, culture, of-the-beaten-track-experiences.
