I love meeting new people and hearing their stories. Getting to join in with the local community, even for just a brief time, is what really brings a new place to life.
Music, Movies, and Books
I love music in many forms, from indie folk to classical, Laura Marling to Brahms. Some favourites are Sufjan Stevens, Feist, Joni Mitchell, Andrew Bird, Jonsi, Radiohead, Tchaikovsky, Sarasate, Sibelius . . . I could go on. As far as books are concerned, I mostly read novels. I'm a massive Jane Austen fan, love Chesterton, Tolkien, James Herriot, Melina Marchetta, and the plays of Oscar Wild.

Accidental doughies on the family quad bike at age 5.

I'm so keen to learn how to cook traditional and popular dishes from all over the world! Wiling away the evening with friendly folk sharing conversation, food, wine, and music, is time well spent.
