Hike Companion
Hello all, I'm doing a hike from Marmelete to Aljezur (part of the Via Algarviana trail) if anyone else is interested in joining, feel free to connect with me. A few details:
The hike takes about half a day : maybe 6 hours and mostly downhill.
There seem to be some interesting points related to local strawberry brandy distillation and tasting in the region which might be worth exploring.
*My plan is to leave from Lagos early in the morning, take the bus to Monchique - do the boardwalk at Alferce for a couple of hours and stay the night at Marmelete at a very simple dormitory run by the local parish/government - pretty much the only option available.
*Next morning explore Marmelete for an hour or so and then start the hike. Its a very well marked trail apparently so there shouldn't be any problems.
End in Aljezur that evening and spend the night there. Explore Aljezur the following morning and back to Lagos by the evening bus.
