My name is Agustin, im from Argentina, and right now i'm studying in Dijon, France, at 4 hs from Paris; Currently I have visited more than 30 countries in Europe, America, and Asia (and USA), with a lot of CouchSurfers and friends from the group! Along several months I decided to give back all the generosity and favours, but for everyone, as a blog. There, I want to post the best things to do in Europe, my couch surfing anecdotes, the budgets and prices for traveling and everything can be considered useful if you want to travel.

“Lovers and Leavers” explores love, intimacy, lust, body, sexual diversity and fluid identity. In “Lovers and Leavers” I study the chemistry of Lovers and Leavers. I photograph participants in their intimate, sublime moment and private space.

Photography works as a method of catharsis for the participants. They express themselves, play their sexual fantasies, be sexual with each others, sensual, reflecting their mood, longing, exposing their beautifully enriching vulnerability which also reflects their power and strength.

I like to photograph people with whom I feel an affinity. I try to build up a rapport and connection is important for me. I have conversations through mail, messages, and face to face, my eagerness to learn about you & curiosity drives my work.

From this process also a comfortable space develops for things to be acted out. The participants feel confortable projecting for the camera, and I feel comfortable exploring that projection without the pressures of reality.

Participants of ‘Lovers and Leavers’ often suggests me postures, gestures and ideas they would like to include.

Contemporary Artists working with the theme “sex” like Tracy Emin, Nan Goldin, Jeff Koons, John Currin, Sam Jackson, Nobuyoshi Araki, Gustave, Thomas Ruff and the likes have inspired me.

I also ask participants to give me a token – something which expresses their feelings, longing, desires, lusts, kinks, festishes,fantasies, pain, agony, stories, it can be drawing, a mark, word, words, statement, some lines, anything – there are no rules. I will use them as installations along with the images.

You are all welcome to participate. I am looking for diversity. Your sexual orientations can be any. You can be in any form of relationships. Your desires can be any. I would like to learn about you, your fantasies, you lusts, your longings, your stories and build up visual fragmented non linear narratives. Sepiosexual, Asexual, Pansexual, Heterosexual, Polyamory, swinging, BDSM, kink, LGBT, queer, cisgender, genderqueer, and gender nonconforming individuals. I travel to produce imageries for the project.

Lovers and Leavers who have participated are from Spain, Netherlands, Australia, Denmark, Italy, Norway.

I also conduct lectures for documentary photography at Danish School of Media and Journalism in Denmark and IED Madrid. Cheers, Nafis

Brief Bio: Nafis is a scholar & artist working with photography. He studied Art & Design at the Sir John Cass Department of Art, Media & Design of London Guildhall University in London, Photography at the Danish School of Media and Journalism in Denmark and was awarded a MFA in Photography from IED Madrid.

From 2012 to 2014 he participated in the mentor program at the world's elite VII photo agency.

Recently, he has been awarded 3rd prize in Pride Photo Award in the 2015 Theme category for his long term work "Inner Face". Pride Photo Award is considered to be the most prestigious International Photography Contest about Gender and Sexual Diversity.

In November I will go to ‪#‎Berlin‬ to make a film. A no-budget film, a friend of mine, actor invited me to do the film there with the belief that we will find people more open to another frame of mind acting film and art.

We are looking for help with organizing the rehearsals, exercises and filming. A production assistant. We will need a few more actors/non-actors - 2 bisexual girls 20s, 30s - 1 man around 40 - 2 bisexual men 30s Two locations - a house for the main couple, and a small room for the girls home. There will be only 3, 4 days of filming. And if possible we will love to have a place to rehearse and do our exercises for closeness and natural intimacy 2 weeks in total I believe.

It is a story about a girl that struggles to become an angel so that she will cope with the world she is lost into. The love that she lost in others.
