Hi, I am planning a trip from April 24-May 24. Is it good time for Switzerland or weather is rainy at that time?

Hi Shushan In April/ May everything is possible. There will be rainy days but usually not weeks of only rain. It will be sunny aswell! The temperature can vary a lot, from 10 up to 25 degrees. If your planning on hiking it's a little early in the year. Many mountains will still have a lot of snow. But for city trips or visits in the mountains that time of year is good;) Not too many tourists yet. Hope this helped a little:) Lisa

Thanks a lot for the answers. I am not coming for hiking. Mainly I will be in cities near the lakes like Zurich, Interlaken, Lauterbrunen, Lucerne, Geneva. Of course I would like to climb some picks(mt. Pilatus, Rigi, Gracer 3000) to enjoy views of the Alps and view of the landscapes, but all these by cable cars or by funicular. And Zermatt to see the Matterhorn.
While you're staing in Interlaken you should go to the Harder Kulm (cabelcartrain with amazing view at mountains and lakes) or you can go for a flight with a paraglider. Or in Lauterbrunnen to the Schilthorn (cabelcar) and Trümmelbachfälle (walkway nearby a wildwatercanyon).
Great. Thank you. What will you suggest, stay at Interlaken for a few days and just visit Lauterbrunen and villages nearby, or vise versa? Or maybe stay both in Lauterbrunen and Interlaken?
I would stay in Interlaken and make daytrips, because it's more central and Lauterbrunnen is only 30 min away by Train.

For the cities, this time is perfect. For the mountains above 1600m its to early, there is to much snow. Glacier 3000 is still in deep winter in April/Mai, Zermatt closes the skiing Season by the end of April, Pilatus the cogwheel train on the south side is still closed until the end of April, Rigi is ok by the end of April.
PILATUS: you can reach the top of mount Pilatus by cable car from Kriens at the northern side of the mountain. But the golden round trip including the steepest coghweeltrain is possible in May, but not in April.
