Hi! You need to visit "plateau de Valensole"(you can check on Google) , it's the best place to see lavanda. Approximatly 3 hrs from Nice by lovely country side's road. Be carreful about bees and enjoy the lavanda!

Thanks for your advice! I found plateau de Valensole on the map. Is it posdible to get there without car? Maybe using bus or train? Or to buy a tour from Nice? In the internet I could find only expencive privat tours.. but I would prefer cheaper group tour. Do you know where can I find such tours? Maybe some french website for tourists.. or tour company in Nice..

if you come from Nice you can take a little train .....the train of Provence for only 24 euros the train arrives to Digne at 30 minutes to my home After the week end if you want i can to go whith you with my car to Valensole And you will can sleep at home for one or two dauys

Hi, maybe you could try the train/bus to Aix en Provence, then find a BlablaCar (car sharing system) to head up to Valensole... Of course it's quite easier to find/rent a car from Nice and enjoy the journey to Valensole, also visiting the Verdon Canyon, the Lac de Sainte-Croix and Moustiers Sainte Marie on the way (you may want to take 2 or 3 days for the tour though...) Hope you'll enjoy the place! --> According to the weather, the lavender fields may be harvested at that time... but they still keep some fields with the flowers...
