We are a family of 4 with two kids aged 5 & 6 and we are heading to Hawaii in January. We are looking for interesting hosts and some advice on how best to travel The Big Island safely on a budget with kids! We would love to hear from you if you are willing to host us (we are happy to help around the house, yard or farm) or if you’re willing to show us around. We’d also love to hear any information about cheap places to stay (we are considering camping), best ways to get around, and cool things to visit or projects to check out. We are really interested in permaculture, organic farming, sustainable building, alternative energy, nature, conservation, restoration, history, culture, food, tours, beaches, surfing, volcanoes...
