Best way to get from Keflavík to Reykjavik

Hey guys!!! I am coming to Iceland on August 27th at 6am and I need to figure out how to get to Reykjavik (close to the airport). I am not sure how to get around, especially so early in the morning. Any help would be so amazing. I look forward to talking to all of you!

There are busses between the airport and reykjavík in connection with every incoming and outgoing flight.

I've heard this sentence so often, and written it out so often, that it's terrifyingly ingrained in my memory. If there's a flight, there's a bus. You'll find them right outside the terminal.

Hi Angel, chepest is to hitch-hike if you're lucky, second most affordable one is the local yellow bus which also goes to KEF airport (line 55), BUT it's only available from around 6:30-ish in the morning to 11pm (check straeto.is for further info). Price is about 13 euros and you'll be able to take a second bus to get you to your final destination for free (keep the ticket).

Depending on your destination in the capital area, the AirportDirect.is or Reykjavik Express (re.is) or grayline.is buses will get you to the city for about 22 euros in conjunction with flight arrivals.

If you're going to rent a car you're probably best served by picking it up and returning it to the airport, it will save you about 40-45 euros if you're alone, even more if you're a group.
