Hello everyone, I’m heading to St Catherine for 2nights/3days and looking for people to join me & share cost. The idea is to hike to st Catherine peak, mount Moses for sunset (not freezing sunrise), visit the evening prayer at the monastery and take a guided monastery tour outside the mass tourist hours. I’ve arranged private transportation, booked a camp room, hired local guide for 2 days to lead the hikes. The plan includes Moses mountain, St Catherine peak and the monastery, and we can add another hike the day we head back to dahab. The car can fit 5 people (squeeze) and the camp 6. The cost breakdown for the transportation, 2 nights camp and 2 days guide based on 5 people is $105 plus whatever we need to pay for the monastery entry and permits. I think it’s €5 per person a day for the permit to hike the mountain. I’m not a tour guide and I’m not looking for more than 4 people (plus me), as I want a peaceful and culm time and good company.
