Saturday, Aug 19 10am-ish || Hike to Homer Falls & Long Creek Falls All day || Lake Daze - optional boat (9:30am-late); swim, paddle, float, nap, etc. PM || Group Dinner (optional) - Sign up beforehand Sunday, Aug 20 10am || Group Brunch (optional) - Sign up beforehand 12pm || Campground Check-Out 1:30pm || River Floatilla on the Saluda ~4pm || One Last Hurrah After-Party w/ food & drinks ******************** Saturday Lake Day Information Location: Coneross Campground (https://goo.gl/maps/cktUR58ds2vf8M4J9) We've booked a boat for this year's lake crash and there is a sign-up sheet for those who are interested in tubing or going for a ride. Cost $20/person. There is also a hike to Homer Falls & Long Creek Falls planned for mid-morning. This is a 3.2 mile (round trip), moderate, out and back trail to 2 beautiful waterfalls. For the ambitious, you can tag on an extra 1 mi round trip hike to Raven Cliffs for some amazing views. ******************** Lake Hartwell Camping Campground: Coneross Campground 699 Coneross Park Rd Townville, SC 29689 https://goo.gl/maps/cktUR58ds2vf8M4J9 We have booked several sites for the Lake Crash. If you wish to camp, reach out to Grace aka HWAYBING (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/hwaybing) to talk about your options (host or join a hosted site). Contact Grace to host a site, or one of the campsite hosts found on the campground sign-up sheet linked above to share their site. There is a 10 person and 3 car limit per site. Most campsites with the exception of the primitive sites have water and electricity hookups and space to fit several tents. There is a comfort station located near our booked sites with basic restroom facilities, sinks, mirrors and hot-water showers. Campground GATES ARE LOCKED at 10pm. Be aware that late afternoon/evening pop-up showers are common at this time of year so prepare accordingly. Most of the campsites have gravel, graded pull-ins (many suitable for RVs) and tent pads so you may need to weigh down your tents if you aren't able to secure it in the ground. ******************** Please do not join/invite anyone if the intent is to hook-up and be irresponsible. The spirit of CouchSurfing is, in a large part, about hospitality and consideration of others. We are always happy when members of the community really connect and get together, but it is important that all who come feel safe and comfortable. We are all going to be there to have fun, meet others, and make memories, but we are not there to make anyone feel uneasy or pressured for anything.
