I genuinely enjoy hosting and meeting interesting people — I’ve been doing it since 2014. What I don’t enjoy is receiving generic copy-paste requests from people looking for the FREE bed in town. If you request to stay, tell me why ME. If you can’t spend 10 minutes reading my profile and writing something personal, asking me to give you 24h+ of my time, energy and home is a slightly ambitious trade. These days, most of my life revolves around raising my kids and working, so I’m very selective about guests. It’s not about collecting references or hosting everyone. Quality over quantity. I can host Tuesday evening (1 night), or weekends from Friday night until Sunday morning/afternoon. And please, no friend requests if we’ve never actually met. We’re not building a LinkedIn network here. If I welcome you into my home, come to exchange something — stories, experiences, perspectives, laughter, whatever you bring.
