*TELL ME A LITTLE ABOUT YOURSELF AND YOUR TRIP. If you request with no message I will decline* *About Melodé* I've worked as a teacher and tutor in South Korea, USA and Vietnam. Currently I've gone back to my tech roots and I work as a project manager for an education company. We released my baby in summer '23 - a brand new HR system. I'm originally from South Africa and my husband is from the US but we met in University in SA :) Until recently we lived together in Ho Chi Minh City, but now I'm traveling Central and South America while he's the responsible one based in DC. *About Ben* I grew up in Hawaii but moved to South Africa when I was 11. I went to university (and met my future wife) there. In my early twenties I moved back to the US for the first time since I was little, this time to Seattle on the west coast. I have worked seasonally in the fishing industry in Alaska and for 6 years I lived in Vietnam with Melodé. I'm currently based in DC, USA. It's always been my dream to visit Japan so I hope I can visit again soon!

I have a deep love for learning, connecting with people, and discovering how others see the world. I’m easygoing, respectful, and genuinely enjoy sharing laughter and good energy. Whether it’s diving into nightlife, wandering through museums, or finding the best local food spots, I’m always up for the adventure.

Working

I was born and raised in Port Elizabeth (now Gqeberha), South Africa. I am keen on international travel and cultural exchange. I have lived abroad - the longest being 6 years in Gwangju, South Korea. I enjoy reading and having good conversations (preferably over wine). I am very active and enjoying gyming, hiking and scuba diving.

I am born and bred South African that is still passionate about his country and particularly that part that he lives in. I have studied towards my tourguide qualification because I love showing people the off the track places and people not ordinarily found by tourists. I have a partner who enjoys my lifestyle and we enjoy getting out of the city when we can.
