About Me 🌍 Hey! I’m Abhishek from India 🇮🇳 I’m a Data Science student and someone who is genuinely curious about the world. I love travelling, meeting people from different backgrounds, discovering new cultures, trying local food, and hearing the stories behind the places I visit. I’m interested in history, geography, technology, movies, music, and learning about how people live in different parts of the world. I enjoy both exploring a city from morning to evening and having a relaxed conversation over a cup of chai or coffee. I’m still exploring the world and I’d love to experience it beyond the usual tourist spots — through the people, culture, food, traditions, and everyday life of each place. Why I’m on Couchsurfing ✈️ For me, Couchsurfing is much more than finding a free place to stay. I want to meet locals and travellers, exchange stories, learn about different cultures, and experience places from a more local perspective. I believe some of the best travel memories come from the people you meet rather than the places you simply photograph. I’d love to make friends from different parts of the world and hopefully return the hospitality someday when you visit India. 🇮🇳 What I Can Offer 🤝 I’m happy to share my time, stories, food, and experiences. If you visit my part of India, I’d be happy to help you discover local places, introduce you to Indian/Bihari food and culture, or simply hang out and have a good conversation. I’m respectful of people, their homes, cultures, boundaries, and personal space. If I’m staying with someone, I’ll treat their home with the same respect I would expect from a guest in mine. And even when I’m not hosting, I’m always happy to meet travellers for a chai, coffee, meal, city walk, or spontaneous adventure. ☕🌆 A Few Things About Me 😊 • Always curious about new places and people • Love good conversations and exchanging travel stories • Interested in history, geography, technology and culture • Big fan of movies, music and exploring new food • Prefer authentic local experiences over just checking tourist attractions off a list • Always happy to make new international friends 🌎 If you’re travelling through India or just want to exchange stories, feel free to say hello!
I'm software developer and love traveling,

Hey! I’m Saurabh, 26, from Patna, India. I’m an easygoing, curious and adventurous person who loves travelling, meeting new people and hearing the stories behind different places and cultures. I work as a Territory Manager in the pharmaceutical industry, but whenever I get the opportunity, I love getting out of my routine and exploring somewhere new. I’m really into travel, photography, fitness, cooking and music. I also have a pretty good playlist for long journeys, so there’s a good chance I’ll try to convince you to listen to some of my favourite songs. 😄 I’ve travelled to Nepal and Thailand so far, and I’m now interested in travelling much more slowly and meaningfully—meeting locals, learning about their way of life and collecting experiences rather than just collecting places. I’m generally quiet at first, but once I’m comfortable, I really enjoy good conversations, random plans and sharing stories.
PLEASE READ MY BIO BEFORE ACCEPTING ME. Solo Female Traveler from Patna, Bihar ( a historical province which derives its current reputation for being poor state and high crime rate). I am here to change the reputation :) I am a digital nomad. I can speak good english and pretty much travel everywhere if i got internet access :) If i sent you a last min request, its mostly because i didnt plan the trip ahead and got last min deal. I do try to plan in advance bit i suck at it🥲 With respect to food- I am a vegetarian (can have milk but no eggs/meat/sea-food; sharing this because sometimes hosts are very kind and they prepare food which I hate to say No to 😭 I cook basic Indian meals which i would love to share with my hosts🥰 I do not smoke, or drink. I like to hang out with my hosts and share healthy conversation about culture, politics, religion etc , I do have few lifestyle restrictions and would really appreciate if that can be taken into consideration: 1. Since i have to dedicate few hours to work to make money, i cannot hang out after mid-night. I need to sleep. If you feel, I am “using” your place, please be kind enough and spare both of us the trouble. 2. I am a budget traveler so i do avoid going out to very fancy places. I don’t want to be a burden on my host nor spend beyond my own capabilities. Please understand I do not come from a place of Privileged passport, and working remotely is the only way I can sponsor my travels and dreams🥺 I am PERFECTLY OKAY with sleeping on a couch. I prefer to stay atleast 2 nights at my hosts place so I can spend time with them and hang out during evening hours. I create travel videos. But I would totally NOT INCLUDE your details if you are not comfortable with it.
By profession, I’m a doctor currently working as a Junior Resident in the General Surgery Department at a Government Medical College. By passion, I’m a nomadic traveler—an open-minded soul with a dream to explore the entire globe. I’m always looking for new experiences and challenges, passionate about learning different cultures, and sharing thoughts and moments with people from all walks of life. About Me 📍 ⚕️ MBBS Doctor 🌍 Solo Traveler 🎒 Backpacker My Failure Stories 🛑 Failures of Life 🗣️ 1. ✍️ I failed the NEET exam four times. (NEET is a national-level entrance exam conducted annually by the National Testing Agency of India for admission to government medical colleges.) 2. I failed in Anatomy by just one mark. (Anatomy is a first-year MBBS subject that provides fundamental knowledge about the human body and its functions.) 3. I lost INR 35,000 (around $400) in the stock market during my early college days. And the list goes on… failures still continue. But they’re all part of the journey. ————————————————- "PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE SENDING ME A COUCH REQUEST" I have been hosting a lot of people from different parts of the world and I had some of the best and even the worst of experiences as well (like the guest stealing something )I am now very specific in accepting my couch requests. I believe that I am a good host and I try to do my best for my guests but some people that I hosted didn't even have the basic moral values of being a guest and misused my hospitality, therefore I request you to please go through these things before sending me a request Only me send me a request if: 1. You have decent amount of positive references on your profile. 2. You can maintain cleanliness and do your own dishes and also leave your surroundings in the same condition. 3. You actually need a place to stay for cultural exchange and friendship and not a free place for saying. 4. You can pay for your transport to reach and to leave the place. 5. You can bring and cook your own food and not ask me to do that. (I usually like to eat together with my guests and I sometimes cook for them too if they're good but you must never ask me to do that). 6. Follow the basic house rules and not go through my belongings. 7. Don’t smoke inside the house 🏠. 📮📮 PS: If you’re requesting to host me, I’ll need your social media handle and a valid government ID (any government authorized ID or passport). And also mention “BANJARA DOCTOR” in the beginning of your requests. ⸻ Instagram: @banjara_doctor( currently deactivated) Facebook: banjaradoctor( currently deactivated) My Quote: “Blood is also traveling in our body.” This is how I connect medicine with my love for travel. ⸻ About My Journey ⬇️ I aim to hitchhike across the globe. So far, I’ve covered: • Bihar • Jharkhand • Uttarakhand • Himachal Pradesh • South India • Rajasthan • Gujarat (partially) • Nepal Why do I travel by hitchhiking? Because I want to explore the world differently—embracing the uncertainty and adventure of the journey itself. I never know what’s coming next, and that’s what makes it so thrilling! I always enjoy the journey more than the destination. ⸻ Current Mission: Currently I’m preparing for NEET PG entrance exam (it’s an all India 🇮🇳 level entrance examination for MBBS doctors for pursuing MD/MS in Government Medical colleges) . So maybe I’m not able to host you that is totally depends upon my examination schedule and all . But we can meet for a ☕️ tea / or for a walk in Ganga ghats . ———————- (Fully COVID-vaccinated 💉)
