Please note, I am in Lagos, NIGERIA, not Lagos, Portugal! (Get many requests for people looking to surf in Portugal.) Before reading on, please note I am not into the free hotel business!!! If you are not an international traveler coming to or through Lagos and you are really only looking for a free hotel with free food in a convenient area of Lagos for a while you go about your business, or you are looking for me to send you postcards or smiley videos from all over the world so you can make a video for your partner's birthday with some random faces from all over the world, then I am sorry to say that is not really what CS is about. Please don't write to me in such cases. I do however welcome into my home (or meet up for a meal or drinks with) international travelers of good repute who are coming to or passing through Lagos, who need local advice and sometimes support, who are interested in hanging out, making friends in Lagos and expanding their networks during their travels and who then also happen to need a bed and a shower (which is free), or is staying in a hotel during a visit to Lagos and is looking for someone to hang out with for a few hours. If this is you, please read further. ABOUT ME I am a South African accountant living and working in Lagos, Nigeria. I love travelling and meeting other travelers. I am generally a curious person and like to talk about a wide range of topics with people from all sorts of backgrounds. As a host, I like to view myself as a welcoming, fair and caring person. If you respect me and my home, I will reciprocate as far as possible to make your stay welcoming, comfortable and enjoyable. If however I sense my hospitality is being abused, don't be surprised at receiving a cold shoulder. As a surfer or when meeting up for a drink or meal or something, my intention is to get to know you and I try and operate and travel in a respectful manner towards my hosts.

Don't bite your tongue, it's Lonii for short. (pronounced low-knee) Hot girl about life, trying to get out of philosophising and being in this reality. If i already sound serious it's because i am. Life is serious as haemorrhoids! Don't be afraid though, if you can handle yourself you can handle me! Interested in all things nature, obsessed with slow living because that's the pace of my body... un-rushed, easy mornings, lingering moments on the shitter, bath tub naps with an audiobook in the background and rewinding movies 20 times to read the subtitles. Late bloomer so i only recently learned of my power to curate my personal experience as i move through the world, and it's usually on a case by case basis eg. Today i'm loudly playing rock and tomorrow i'll need pin-drop silence. Wonderfully complex, aren't we all?! I'm looking for my exit from this capitalist machinery. It's literally making me sick at heart, but i feel blessed that i can even consider it! I'm human just like you! Na me be dat ‼️POTENTIAL INT'L SURFERS PLS READ!‼️ (In order to host you, I'll now be asking for official identification and probably also travel documents Also, I am more comfortable to host people with more than 2 references)

Hi! I'm Fabio, a 29-year-old guy with a big desire to keep discovering the world. I’ve lived in different places: one year studying in Italy, two years in a small town in the United States… But in November 2023, I began the journey of a lifetime: a backpacking adventure through South America, changing locations every 2–3 weeks. After 15 months living out of a backpack and meeting amazing people and countries, I decided to return to Spain. Still, I fell in love with that lifestyle, and I hope to go back to it someday. Now I’m starting a new chapter: I recently moved to Lagos, Nigeria, for a job and will be living there for a few years. Even though I’m going back to a more settled life, I’m really excited to immerse myself in the local culture and experience what Nigeria has to offer. It’ll be my first time in Africa, so I’d also love to explore other countries in the region. I have never been able to host a lot of people because I always lived with flatmates: now, I live alone so I would also like to host couchsurferst at my apartment in Lagos. I always find it hard to describe my interests. I love languages, history, literature, cinema, painting, nature, football… Recently, I’ve been getting into Buddhist philosophy, yoga, and meditation. I also really enjoy spending time with friends, going out, and meeting new people. One of the best parts of traveling is the people you meet along the way and everything we learn from each other when we connect. That’s why I think Couchsurfing is a great way to do that—to share time, space, and ideas with others (and animals too!). Siempre me cuesta definir mis intereses, ¡tengo demasiados!
