Currently not hosting. And now about myself: I'm a German living in Sweden (Göteborg) and I enjoy my time here a lot despite the rainy Swedish weather. Things I like are diverse - discovering new places and people as well as just staying at home, in nature to read or do nothing. Important to me are nature, horses, gym, languages and travelling whenever I can. I do Vipassana (meditation) and I don't eat meat nor do I drink alcohol. In general, I don't like going out to party, I prefer having relaxed conversations at some relaxed setting.
Welcome to my profile! I discovered my interest for other cultures again in 2023 after a long break not hosting, dealing with my kids and ongoing life. I met my ex and father of my two kids (8 and 11 yrs old) on Couchsurfing and we had some good time together. But sometimes life with kids and work eats you up, then I decided I want to enjoy and explore all facettes of life again. And that includes meeting people from all over the world. I want to listen to stories, share experiences, views and culture. "When you explore the world, you are really exploring yourself." I guess that is what it comes down to. A quote from the book "Total Meditation" from Deepak Chopra. This book gave me a lot of insights lately. I am from Germany but living in Sweden for about 14 years now. I am a trained pastry chef, a researcher in food science and a medically certified fasting coach. Pretty funny combination actually 😆. I am really interested in how nutrition impacts our psyche. I travelled quite some before I had kids, but joined couchsurfing first a bit after I had travelled around the world for one year and lived in Ethiopia for 5 months.
I've fallen into a deep hole of musical theater. I spend most of my time working with different aspects of that field, primarily focusing on sound.
I'm a Data Manager at the Department of Political Science, University of Gothenburg. I've been a vegetarian since I was 15 years old.
