I’m Jesse, a retired law enforcement officer who traded routine for a life of travel, meaningful connections, and a much bigger horizon. I’m currently based in Manzanillo, Mexico, and I enjoy exploring new places through the people who actually live there. I’m drawn to good conversation, local culture, hidden restaurants, beaches, road trips, animals, and the kind of experiences that never make it into a guidebook. I’m easygoing, respectful, clean, and independent. I value honesty, kindness, personal responsibility, and people who can laugh at life without taking themselves too seriously. I enjoy conversations about travel, personal growth, spirituality, psychology, relationships, consciousness, quantum entanglement, and the strange turns in life that somehow lead us exactly where we need to be. I travel with curiosity rather than a checklist. For me, Couchsurfing is not simply about finding a place to sleep. It is about meeting good people, exchanging stories, sharing meals, learning how others live, and occasionally ending up in an adventure nobody planned. I’m comfortable doing my own thing, but I’m also happy to join for dinner, explore the area, help with a project, cook something together, or sit around talking until someone realizes it is far later than expected. I believe the best travel memories usually begin with strangers and end with friendship.
