I am most at peace in nature, connecting with the simplicities of life. I am on a journey of reconnecting with land in a harmonious, sustainable way, connecting more deeply w mother nature and her teachings. I grew up in an immigrant home in a small agricultural town so im often fascinated by the history of local places/migration etc. I am most passionate about health equity, environmental justice, and reading (historical fiction, poetry, memoirs, and non-fiction related to (im)migration, farmworkers, and; u.s. + LatinAmerican politics generally). I most enjoy getting to know a new place by taking public transportation (i love collecting new metro cards). I love finding local spots, hiking to waterfalls, learning local history, and eating amazing food! I believe food is sacred and the way we come together around food can be a healing experience. I love getting to know ways we are connected through food histories. I'm also getting back into cooking so if you have tips or a favorite food to make im all ears :-) oh, also music reccs !
We are recently returned to the CS world, but now with kids! With that in mind, we have restricted our hosting some, but we are now open! CURRENT MISSION Explore, include and celebrate! ABOUT ME I am a queer, polyamorous, quasi-vegetarian, naturist individual. I identify as genderqueer and use the pronouns e/em/eir. I am eager to explore and make new connections. I love to travel, meet new people and hear the experiences of others. Learning to express myself more these days and loving it. I'm currently co-teaching 6th grade at a local charter; I cherish the challenge and fulfillment it provides. As a naturist, I encourage anyone who stays with us to give the lifestyle a try. I realize many find it intimidating/appalling/uncomfortable but I think that's generally before anyone gives it a chance. So try if you like! Our home is a body positive space.
