I've been an active member of the CS community since September 2012 when I hosted for the first time, and since then I've hosted over 60 people in Vancouver, Canada and in Berlin, Germany. I've surfed across Canada, in the USA, all over Europe, and in Taiwan. I'm responsible, respectful, clean, organized, and dependable. I prefer to use Couchsurfing over staying at a hotel, hostel, or AirBnB when I travel for pleasure or for work, because when I travel, I like to fully experience life the way the locals do, like eating at local, home-style restaurants, shopping in grocery stores, taking public transit, etc. Going to and seeing tourist attractions is nice, but I want something more than that. Not that it really matters, but I am gay and very open-minded. I do like to go clubbing and partying sometimes, but definitely not every night or every weekend!

**Mostly not hosting this Fall due to family visits/moving!!!** Acting as an impetus for creative rupture and evolution into a better version of myself! In my 20s I travelled the world on epic odysseys and lived in Asia teaching English and yoga and studying Tibetan Buddhism. In my 30s I did a deep dive into Chinese Medicine and met my husband in the same field. We both live and practice in Vancouver, BC with our cat Tashi and enjoy trying local food options both here in the city and abroad. I'm into breaking down self-created and social barriers, practicing contentment in the here and now and cultivating non-attachment/letting go of expectation. I love crazy travel schemes to far-away places by unconventional means and pointing out the absurdity of our existence in this unlikely universe. I enjoy turning awkward social situations into beneficial interaction. I'm into taking responsibility for my own happiness and inspiring people while learning something from them at the same time. I draw great incentive through the wisdom of yoga which speaks of tolerance and self-discipline, and aim to assist/empathize with others.

We may be able to host you if you have references (important!) and if you are gay. We have a farm near Spences Bridge BC, and a home in Vancouver. We are a gay couple who have been been together 25+ years. We have been on CS for more than a decade, and have met many great people.
