I have always been fascinated by languages, literature, and the way stories shape how we see the world. Since childhood, books played a huge role in my life they made me curious about different cultures, ideas, and people far beyond my hometown. One of the things I enjoy most today is teaching and learning languages, especially English language and literature. For me, languages are more than communication; they are a way to connect with people, understand different perspectives, and continue growing as a person. I genuinely enjoy meeting travelers, expats, and curious people visiting Khiva. Our city is often known for its beautiful old architecture, but I also love sharing the intellectual and historical side of the region. Khiva and the wider Khorezm region gave the world remarkable thinkers like Al Khwarizmi, often called the father of Algebra, whose ideas shaped mathematics as we know it today. I also enjoy talking about the Ma’mun Academy, which many historians compare to the great centers of knowledge like the Babylonian and Greek academies where philosophy, science, and open discussion flourished. I believe places become truly meaningful when we understand the stories and minds that shaped them. I appreciate thoughtful conversations, people with curiosity about the world, and simple moments like sharing tea, exchanging stories, walking through old streets, or discussing books, culture, history, and life experiences. For me, Couchsurfing is not just about travel it is about human connection, learning from each other, and creating memorable experiences together.

Hi! I’m Ayako from Japan 🇯🇵 I’m currently living and working in Uzbekistan 🇺🇿. I love traveling, meeting new people, discovering different cultures, and experiencing local life. I’m especially interested in Central Asia and would love to learn more about Tajik culture, food, traditions, and everyday life 🇹🇯. I’m friendly, positive, respectful, and curious. I really enjoy connecting with local people and sharing stories about Japan and my experiences living in Uzbekistan. For me, Couchsurfing is not just about finding a place to stay — it’s about meeting people and experiencing a country through the people who live there. 😊
