CURRENT MISSION Living by my own life style in this world .I am working here until the next year, wish to meet and help Csers in this world. Hello! I am a non-smoking global educator from China. I have worked in five different countries (Fiji, Thailand, Ethiopia, etc.) and lived in several cities in China, the United States,. I love to travel, a passion that began during my gap year trip to Europe when I was a cyclist for the "2012 London Olympics Low Carbon Expedition," cycling solo through the Vatican City, Italy, Switzerland, France, the United Kingdom, and Ireland, finally arriving in London. On my way to London, I was hosted by over 46 Couchsurfing hosts, not only to find accommodation or save money, but also to make more friends through Couchsurfing. I also started hosting Couchsurfing while working in Thailand from 2013 to 2014. I enjoy interacting with people from different backgrounds and cultures. I enjoy movies, symphonies, tennis, travel, biology, reading, and more, especially geography and history. I currently live in downtown New Orleans. My house can provide simple accommodation for 1-2 travelers. Guests can use the sofa in the bathroom, kitchen, and living room. Smoking is not allowed indoors. When I'm at home, I'll do my best to make you feel comfortable and at ease. We can share our stories and learn from each other. Life Philosophy The "on the road" lifestyle... Our lives are rich, colorful, and vibrant. Everything around us is interconnected with ourselves and our lives. The world is like a giant mirror, reflecting all our actions and thoughts. Everyone should strive to make their lives better and do everything in their power to change. Take responsibility for everything that happens in your life. This may seem idealistic, but if everyone starts with themselves, society will move in a better direction.
CURRENT MISSION Meet locals and enjoy a beer with them wherever I go. Also want to play pickup soccer in different places even though I am no good at it. When hosting, I want people to experience the best time in New Orleans. ABOUT ME I work in community development in New Orleans. I was born in Vietnam but have lived in New Orleans for over 27 years. I'm trying to do some more traveling and meet people from all over the world. In the past few years I've traveled to Asia, South America, and Europe. Just recently came back from a trip to Spain and Portugal. Growing up in the USA, many people have a fear of traveling, feeling that the world is not a safe place. But my travels so far have dispelled that fear. I've met great people from tons of different countries and have been able to connect with them and have realized that regardless of where you are from, for the most part, we share many things that make us human. These connections with locals and other travelers are what excite me about traveling, much more so than seeing sights and taking tours. Some of my favorite travels were when I went to Brazil for the World Cup and when I've met up with people that I've hosted in their home countries. In the near future I plan on doing a round-the-world trip and visiting countries and continents that I have never been to before. PHILOSOPHY People are nice all over the world and have similar goals.

I'm a bridge engineer with interests in languages and structural engineering. I began my undergraduate studies in civil engineering but left school, relocated, and started a new chapter. After a while, I returned to pursue languages, an interest that was shaped by my experience growing up in Louisiana, where French dialects are spoken. I finished my language studies and then traveled to Europe. The trip renewed my interest in engineering. It was also my first experience with Couchsurfing. When I returned home, I worked various jobs before finishing my engineering studies. After graduation, I worked in materials research and later in highway and bridge construction. Around this time, I also began learning Spanish. I now work in bridge maintenance and structural repair. Today I use languages to help and connect with others.
I'm always looking for fascinating new people to open up my eyes to the grand possibilities of life! I enjoy the simple things in life: sunshine, swimming in warm water, nature, honest & hilarious people, and seeing all that I can see. Also, beer. I AM from Wisconsin after all... PHILOSOPHY Life is a gift. It's up to us whether we take it back to the store still in the wrapper or we make the most of it before the warranty expires.
I’m a Cajun, and my roots run deep in south Louisiana. Showing folks around and sharing our history comes natural to me. Don’t be cheap either. You’re staying at my house for free. The least you can do is buy me some beers or dinner. I live in Marrero by West Jeff hospital. Look it up on a map. My house is 100 meters from a bus stop.

CURRENT MISSION To meet travelers from around the world, show the city as locals see it. NOTE: I prefer to host guests age 21 or over. I get lots of requests, your chances are better if you have references or at least a complete profile. Due to the Covid pandemic, I am only accepting fully vaccinated guests!. ABOUT ME: *************************************************************************************** My father grew up in Italy, and I have lots of family there. In addition to Italy, I have traveled around Europe many times, and to Mexico, Costa Rica, the Caribbean and Ecuador. In October of 2016 I started a 3 month trip to New Zealand, Australia, Thailand & Hong Kong. I recently started volunteering my time as a photographer for a local non commercial radio station (WWOZ) mainly photographing at festivals and in-studio performances. I had the first showing of my photographs at a local gallery during the month of January 2019. I like photographing people, at festivals, while traveling, and recently I starting experimenting with portraits and artistic black and white nudes. I am a long time member of SERVAS, an international peace organization and host/traveler network that started after WWII in Denmark (long before the internet!) and have hosted many guests over the years. I just ended my job working at local private university, allowing me more time to travel. In fall & winter of 2016 I spent 3 months traveling to New Zealand, Australia, Thailand & Hong Kong, visiting former CS guests of mine along the way. I also like to go out to hear live music, or go to music festivals. I'm also a member of a Carnival club called Mondo Kayo, we march in costume and dance to Caribbean music once a year during the Mardi Gras. PHILOSOPHY Treat others as you like to be treated, try to meet the locals when traveling.
A friend who travels constantly told me about Couchsurfing. She had no idea I also loved to travel so much. Just a fun guy looking to explore different parts of the world and different cultures.
I’m a musician and record producer, I can talk forever about music! My partner used this app and had a wonderful experience so I’m giving it a go for my own travels.
ABOUT ME Life really does begin at 40. Up until then you are just doing research. PHILOSOPHY Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?
