hello everybody! I'm johannes. I used to share this account with my ex, but since she's not traveling anymore I keep on using it alone. So if you get confused by reference or stuff, that's why! i started to travel 2007, around new zealand, australia and china. in germany i did my apprenticeship as a stonemason. always when i had time i hitchhiked around. the bug already got me. since than i didn't, couldn't stop. around europe until i had enough money to leave to canada. toronto to dawson to vancouver island to halifax to toronto. on the way i got some cash for flying to jamaica. after working in europe again and spending some time in eastern africa i hitchhiked for six months around southern south america. up in iceland i, by good chance, found a job as a dog musher, snow hotel builder and snow mobile guide in northern norway. dog sledding under northern lights for half a year. After i hitchhiked down to france from there and took a plane to halifax where i thumped to ottawa and back for a wedding. after that i went back to helsinki and hitchhiked around lappland and finnmark. from finland i flew to tokyo and thumbed all across japan and south korea for a couple of months. Back to work in the north, than travelling around Namibia , Botswana and south Africa. Last year i had a busy summer season, first traveling through Israel and France and Estonia and than off to UAE and Hongkong for a month, and finally I hitchhiked through China to the north west. In Xinjiang I crossed the border to Mongolia and hitchhiked on to ulaanbatar, staying in the northwest. From there I flew to Macau, than holiday in the Philippines and after that I fulfilled a ten year dream and traveled one month through Papua New Guinea! This year I travelled a lot in Europe, visiting friends and barbecues. After that I fulfilled another dream and explored amazing Iran for a month.
