CURRENT MISSION Live life, influence others, and never look back. ABOUT ME I am a native of Taipei, having been born and mostly educated here, but with five younger years spent in the United States (California). I’m fluent in both English and Mandarin. I am an enthusiastic reader and traveler. I’m very interested in politics, both in Taiwan and the world as a whole. I've backpacked through India, China, Southeast Asia, Central Asia and Cuba, as well as traveled in Japan, the UK, France, various parts in Europe, and the US. I would say I'm pretty spontaneous and not afraid to try new things, though when I can I like to plan ahead to maximize efficiency and when I'm working or engaged in an activity or discussion I'm pretty serious and put my mind to it. Professionally I’ve worked in management consulting in China and India after graduation, and then worked for a year in Ethiopia for the Ethiopian government in agriculture. I’m now completing an MBA in France, UAE, and Singapore (yes all three places). Hope to see you soon. PHILOSOPHY Everything is relative, and nothing lasts.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I have hosted and met quite a few travelers in Taipei, Taiwan. This is a community quite unlike others, and the people you meet here are generally liberal, well-traveled, young souls, and I enjoy being a part of it. When I can't host people I try my best to at least meet up with them. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE (See How I participate section)

I'm still waiting to do the "Next Amazing Thing".
Enseña, aprende, comparte
I think I can now teach people how to organize trips within and around Taipei efficiently, as well as how to chill and enjoy Taipei life.
Mis intereses
I like to think about big world-changing things and listen to big, ambitious dreams. I enjoy reading broadly about many topics, mostly non-fiction (world and Chinese history, business, politics, leadership, energy, media, technology, the Internet, human nature, psychology, evolution, design, intellectual property, languages, Asian society, start-ups, education... etc), though I wouldn't mind a well-crafted novel, elegant poetry, or deep prose. My favorite fiction books are The Unbearable Lightness of Being, Norwegian Wood, The Great Gatsby, The Catcher in the Rye, and some novels by 金庸. I like movies and music, mostly in English. I like EDM and trance. I like to jog and work out. I'm not a stranger to drinks and smokes, though I'm now more careful with them then when I was younger. I would like to change the world one day.
