Before I graduated college I worked at a therapeutic horseback riding center where people with disabilities (autism, traumatic brain injury, cerebral palsy etc.) had sessions with an occupational therapist and volunteers. At this time, being witness to the learning and happiness that took place in the arena left me awestruck. That feeling remains every time I see a session in a barn.

I'm an occupational therapist, so I work with people with disabilities of varying types. I believe in working to help people be as independent as possible, whether they are preschoolers learning to be in social situations or older adults wishing to remain living at home. In my personal life, I'm thrilled by the richness of our everyday environment; the brilliant colors of flowers that I may see on walks with my dog, or the bite of a spicy home cooked meal. I love music, traveling, food, and nature. Most weekends, I spend hiking with my husband and dog. Photography has always been an interest of mine. I love sharing stories through conversations about photos.
