HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I found about about CS after inadvertently hosting 3 people for a Detroit CS weekend. It was an awesome experience. I was so glad to find such a cool group of people. I have hosted 3 group of travelers in Los Angeles since then. I travel often and hope to surf couches as much as I host visitors. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE Well I spent the last 2 years on the road constantly. From Detroit to LA to NY and back again several times (and even a couple trips to France in there). I grew up with 8 siblings so I think I just enjoy being around others and sharing space with others. Opening your home to needy travelers is a blessed experience/opportunity and I look forward to new horizons.

I got lost on Mt. Sinai (jabal musa) in the middle of the night after my camel decided he wanted to go back down the mountain. I was climbing around random rocks and pathways trying to find a route back up. It was the most terrifying and beautifully spiritual experience I've ever had.
