The most valuable things in life are people. When I travel I enjoy meeting the people and experiencing the culture, not necessarily visiting the top 5 gift shops with their accompanying tourist attractions. While I definitely want to visit the Eiffel Tower in Paris and walk along the Great Wall of China, I know that some of my favorite past trip memories were made across a dinner table talking to new friends. I appreciate a local’s view on where to eat, what visit and the answer to that question I never would have thought to ask.
