I'm road tripping across the northern and western states in June, so looking to meet some cool people along the way!

Books: My favorite book makes me sound super pretentious. Other than that, a random selection of authors that have made my 4-5 star list on Goodreads: Joshua Ferris, Yukio Mishima, J.D. Salinger, Meghan Daum, George Saunders, Dawn Powell, Adam Levin, Meredith Gran, Ramez Naam, Jennifer Egan, Aimee Bender, Imogen Binnie, Michael Chabon, Hilary Mantel, Lorrie Moore, Thomas Pynchon... okay, I should stop now. Music: Frequent rotation at the moment includes Pulp, Hot Snakes, Belle & Sebastian, Emperor X, the Long Winters, Palaxy Tracks, the Go Find, Speedy Ortiz. Perennial favorites: the Delgados, Jens Lekman, Mikal Cronin, New Order, Silver Scooter. I'm also a classically-trained pianist so I listen to a good amount of classical stuff, especially new music. I go to quite a few shows and the best shows I've seen recently are Rocket from the Crypt, Emperor X, and the Blind Shake, which should give you some idea of my oddly diverse listening habits. Movies: Band of Outsiders, The Graduate, Annie Hall, Rushmore, Amelie, others I will have to think about later.
