I'm a South African born artist and photographer with a passion for travel and adventure. My art career has covered many disciplines over the years. My interest in the creative aspects of life has been nurtured since my childhood years. I am a self taught photographer. As a young adult I had the opportunity to travel to many locations in Africa, working with a non profit organisation which was linked to humanitarian projects in these regions. During this time my mind was opened to the polarities of the human condition as well a keen interest in culture and heritage. This has been growing ever since. More recently I have been periodically working as an adventure photographer. This remarkable journey has taken me to locations such as the Fish River Canyon in Namibia, the forests of Outeniqua and Tsitsikamma on the Garden Route, the vast expanse of the 'Karoo' (savanna regions) of the Northern Cape as well as Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, which I have summited four times. I have also had the opportunity to summit Mt. Kenya. I am happily married to my life partner Eva who at times is also my travel partner. I am a father to two children from a previous marriage who have both grown into remarkable young adults. I have a keen interest in culture, heritage and the spiritual connection to life.
