Hi guys, I am Emi. I really like reading, hiking, laughing, sailing, embroideries, woodworking, kayaking, swimming and eating stuff I can’t pronounce. I am always up for swapping a book or playing a game of Backgammon. For the past years I have been a lot on the road. I travelled over land for two years with my tent, then took an education as a tall ship sailor, sailed for a year before recently settling down in Aarhus to study to become a furniture maker. I am living in a collective with 10 people, so I won’t be able to host much at the moment, unfortunately :( But I would love to meet up and show you the city! I also have two kayaks, so we can go for a row in the ocean :)

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
I have met so much hospitality and kindness through couchsurfing, I think it’s a great way to connect with people. Now I finally have my own couch, so I am looking forward to giving back to a community that has given me so many great experiences!
Música, películas y libros
Books: I love anything by Tarjei Vesaas (The birds is my favorite book of all time!), Knut Hamsun, Astrid Lindgren, Karl Ove Knausgaard, Chimamanda Ngozie Adichie…the list could go on. Music: any of my father’s old records; Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, Van Morrison, Stevie Wonder… and all the good rhythms I was introduced to on my travels, cumbia, high life, afrobeat, chimurenga, reggaeton etc… and anything sung by a choir!
Enseña, aprende, comparte
I can teach you some knots and hitches for your next sailing/outdoor adventure, embroidery, lots of random little crafts, juggling… I can also help if you’d like to practice English/Spanish/Danish :)) I would love to practice languages or some circus skills! Or learn any other cool skill you have 😁 I am also working on an international book of recipes, so maybe we can cook something from your home country together.
Lo que puedo ofrecer a los hosts
I have a secret stash of Danish candy that you can try if you dare. I also have a kite in my backpack, that we can fly 🪁 and of course love to share books and thoughts and adventures
