To meet new people, travel the world, and build connections. I truly enjoy meeting new people and hearing about their lives and CouchSurfing is a great way to do that! I've learned that what makes a place truly special is the people and the connections you build and those are just as important if not more so than whatever magnificent place you might be visiting. I want to use couchsurfing to have more of those experiences!

My reading tastes seem to be heavily focussed on mountaineering books. Recently I read "No Shortcut to the top" about K2.

Taking the glacier express train in Switzerland, truly amazing views. I think I had my head out the window the entire time :P Driving over Thompson pass in Alaska, crazy mountains...truly blown away.

I'm a pretty decent cook most days and love sharing my cooking and or recipes. If I'm not on the trail then sharing whatever coffee and how I make it is always fun. I can also teach you about computer science and programming or just help you with your technology struggles (:

I really enjoy most anything outdoors and the idea of a new adventure really gets me excited. I love planning new trips, pouring over topo maps to come up with new ideas etc.
