Currently: Darwin, Australia Hello! My name is Jackson, I'm a traveller, photographer and adventure guide from North Vancouver, Canada. I joined couchsurfing with my family when I was 13 years old as we were about to set off on a 6 month backpacking trip through South America. The trip was absolutely life changing, and in the 10 years since I have continued to travel, couchsurf, and can now say I've met over 250 amazing people from nearly 40 different countries through this platform - all of whom have allowed me to gain new perspectives and experience their cultures in ways I could never have imagined. Growing up where the Coast Mountians meet the Pacific Ocean, connection with nature has made me who I am, and is central in the work I do. Following my graduation in 2020, I saw no reason for this lifestyle to end, so over the past five years I’ve spent most of my time backpacking and working my way around the world. In the past three years, I’ve moved deeper into the cultural and ecotourism industry, guiding hundreds of guests from the mountains of British Columbia to the beaches of Australia.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
I continue to couchsurf because travel is so much more than just seeing new places and checking items off a list, for me it's about connections with people and place, finding unique experiences, and understanding different cultures. I love meeting fellow travelers and hearing their stories/perspectives, and Couchsurfing allows me to do that in a accessible and meaningful way... through this platform I've been connected with some of the kindest, most interesting, and generous people I've ever met, many of whom I'm still lucky enough to call friends.
