I'm a Hungarian uni student currently studying archaeology (specialising on the Middle East and Roman times), but it's my last year and hopefully by the autumn of 2026 I'll be able to switch to Physics (I'm interested in biophysics, astrophysics and quantum mechanics, but we'll see what is achievable). I grew up on the Hungarian countryside, but have been living in and near Budapest for the last 10 years. I have a sister, I'm a YMCA scout and from childhood I've been fascinated with dinosaurs and paleontology in general. For the autumn semester of 2025 I was an Erasmus exchange student in Cardiff, Wales. I've been on excavation on the plains, inside buildings and on one instance in a cave as well, so I can talk about stuff like that all day long. I also went on a fossil hunt several times, so if you have site near you then ask no more! Hiking is a stuff that I've been doing since childhood and in the past few months I've been getting into the mountaneering and climbing side of things as well. I play the trumpet (15 years) and the drums (2 years), and have had a go with plenty other instruments for shorter periods as well. I usually play in a brass band at home but have missed out on it since the I've been gone for Wales for a while now. I also like trains, planes, tanks, and everything that is loud and moves. I've been on an Interrail trip a few times by now and have had wonderful journeys with my friends and alone as well. Aaaaand I also love languages, ancient and modern alike. I started learning several, but right now I just want to have a basic arabic and french knowledge in the few coming years. For the scouting part, I've been doing this thing for 11 years and have been a leader for the past 3 years in the camps (10-14 and 14-18 years old people) and I really enjoy it. I really don't know, that's about it, I like a lot of stuff

It's honestly one of the cheapest and best way to get to know a foreign country. I want to speak with locals and not just see the famous monuments and museums (although I enjoy them a lot) in that short time I usually spend in one place. There might also be a chance that my host would visit my beautiful city in the future, in which case I would be absolutely thrilled to host them and show them around. It's also beneficial that I would at least know someone local who could introduce me into their regional culture and daily lives. I am also down for partying if that's your cup of tea, though I don't do it that often.

Lo que puedo ofrecer a los hosts
I'm a decent cook, and of course i can also help with washing the dishes. I'm absolutely open to share things about Hungarian culture, Archaeology and ancient history, travel experiences and how is it being an exchange student in Wales.
