CURRENT MISSION Travel safely and meet great people to have fun with ABOUT ME Hi my name is Michael. I was born in Canada but grew up in the USA. I'm a laid back guy who loves to travel. I'm very respectful and am a very good guest/host. When I first heard of couchsurfing in 2011, I have to be honest I was a bit skeptical of it. While I consider myself to be an open-minded person, I'm still very cautious. Last summer, 2014, I decided to try couchsurfing for the first time and absolutely fell in love with it. I had wonderful experiences couchsurfing through the Balkans as well as London. In the past I've always stayed at hostels or hotels. While hostels and hotels are nice, they don't provide a true local experience, which is what I like when I travel. The only way to get a true local experience is to stay with someone who lives there. I wish I could go back to some of the places I've visited since 2011 so I could get more of a local experience than what I got. PHILOSOPHY Treat others the way that you want to be treated.
