I'm a Hungarian girl who recently finished uni in the UK. Currently on a gap year traveling around and developing myself :) Just returned from a solo backpacking trip from South East Asia where I spent 4 months and visited 6 countries. While looking for jobs thought I'll go and push myself a bit more out of my comfort zone. Since I love nature and hikes, I'm going to be completing the Cammino Materano walk end of May. I'm looking for locals who could help me out during this adventure either by allowing me to sleep on their sofas for a night (please please accommodation is soo expensive in the area), in their garden, or even just with tips and guidance on the trip :) Any help is very much appreciated! In return for your kindness, I can cook you nice meals, play you music in 6 instruments and share a friendly, cheerful and open-mindset.

I think CS is a really special space in such a modernised and cautious world. It's amazing to find human kindness and trust. I have met the most amazing people on this page and learnt a great deal. CS also gives something special to your travels, you do not feel like a tourist, because you get a glimpse from a local person's perspective of the city. Much better than a hostel or a hotel. I can thank couchsurfing so many friends I met in my life. P.S: I didn't use CS for 4 years, that's why there is a gap in my references
