Hello there! It’s time to travel again. I’ve quit my job, and started in March 2026 my longer trip. I’ll be traveling for about a year. At the beginning I was in Portugal, Spain, Andorra and France and I used almost every night couchsurfing. Right now I'm traveling through Romania by car and will continue on to Bulgaria afterward. It's a different way of traveling. I am spending so many hours alone in my car and this often makes me feel lonely. I never had this feeling before during my travels! Since the big update here in May, I've been having a hard time finding hosts here. I really miss Couchsurfing because what I enjoy most is spending time with my hosts: talking, laughing, sharing stories and simply enjoying each other's company. Honestly: Without Couchsurfing, I don't think I would have traveled nearly as much as I have over the past few years. Meeting local people and sharing experiences makes me feel connected and keeps me from feeling lonely while traveling.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing has impressed me very much. Without it I would’ve never traveled as much as I’m doing it right now. Couchsurfing never makes you feel alone and makes it possible to continuously meet new people with lots of different characters. Without Couchsurfing, I would never have had these people or experiences: 1. In 2020, a man in Würzburg hosted me. Since then he has become my best friend and we see each other regularly. We even traveled together to the Philippines. 2. In Málaga, Spain I spoke three different languages at the same time with someone for the first time in my life. Through Couchsurfing, I’m learning Spanish! 3. In Indonesia, my host said, “I’ll show you a secret spot that isn’t written down anywhere, only locals know it.” He took me to beautiful rice terraces with an incredible view, where only locals were around. There are so many more experiences I’ve had through Couchsurfing, but I’d be happy to tell you about them when we see each other. :)
