Festival of Arab culture, which I’m helping to organise, is taking place in Pilsen this week. The 16th year has topics Sustainability. If you are in Pilsen that days, it’s ideal event to visit. Most of the events are in Czech, some English friendly or no-language needed. I won’t be much available during the events, as I will be helping with the preparation, but I can always find time to welcome you there and introduce you the festival and what’s going on or help with translations. I could be also available Thursday and Friday during day to meet in the city out of the festival. And if you need place to sleep, you can send me request, I’m still free. Festival programme: Thursday 23.4.2026 17:00 – Debate about sustainability of culture connected with social and climatic changes. (language: Czech) Friday 24.4.2026 16:00 - Workshop of Arabic language (Kulturka) 18:00 – screening of movie Funoon Shaabeya (Regner movie room) About how to keep traditions and culture in Egypt with discussion (language: probably Arabic with Czech subtitles) Saturday 25.4.2026 10-21 – The main event - Grand Saturday Programme on Zastávka market with arabic food and products, workshops, lectures, dances… the best way hot to enjoy the nice Arabic spirit, which always weaves through the festival. 20-22 Afterparty with DJ Sunday 26.4.2026 10-13 – Charitative Community brunch in or around the beautiful villa Tábor 17 – You can come to eat, but if you like cooking (or even better if you know how to cook some Arabic meal), you can choose and Arabic meal, cook it and and share it with others - here you have to register for cooking and find recipes (I can translate it if you need): https://forms.gle/Mwq4sqwEWXYjpAfTA .
