I'm Ray Misra, and I'd like to welcome you to Biggest Little City Crash 2024! I've been enjoying the city of Reno, Nevada in the days preceding and following Burning Man for almost 20 years. It's as much a part of the Burning Man experience for me now as the Burm itself, but I usually do it solo and I wanted to share it with some people. So, I thought...why not have a pre-Burning Man couchcrash there? Thousands of people will descend on the city from all over the world, and lots of them will be fellow 'surfers. Hell, burners CREATED CS. And what IS a couch crash? It's an event where a local Couchsurfing community puts together several days of events to showcase all that their city has to offer! There are dozens of them in different cities around the globe every year! Please rsvp to the individual events listed below so we can have an accurate count. Non-couchsurfing friends are welcomed - a couch crash is a hell of a way to introduce people to Couchsurfing. Accommodation: In addition to sending requests to hosts, it’s also helpful to post a public trip. We'll remind locals to keep checking public trips and host if they can. If you can't find a host, there are many options for hostels, Airbnb, and hotels. Transportation: Getting around is best by bus. A bus day pass is handy. Parking is difficult to find in many neighborhoods, so try to use public transportation or carpool. There's always rideshare, too. Weather: Late August is generally hot in the high desert, but it does get chilly at night so don’t forget to bring an outer layer, preferably one that doubles as a rain jacket just in case.
