Dear Couchsurfers, We are already dreaming about our beloved Spanish summer and the BEACH... and there is no summer without meeting cool international people. Come and join this yearly event in beautiful COSTA BRAVA. Every year we visit a different town and campsite and make memorable friendships. We welcome you to join us at L'ESTARTIT a town where we are planning to enjoy this weekend full of international gatherings. PLANNING Pre-Crash: We will keep an eye on reservations as we would like to know how many are attending for organization purposes. Also, we will try that you meet the group (online) before the trip. FRIDAY JUNETHE 6th-------------------------------------------------- 18:00 Welcome to attendees at CAMPING ESTARTIT (pool zone). If the pool closes, we go to one of the bungalows. 21:00 Salad night at the bungalow. We are going to be healthy and prepare a variety of salads to share. Bring your ingredients and show us you favourite salad. SATURDAY JUNE THE 7TH----------------------------------------------- 9:00 Breakfast together. Maybe go for churros con chocolate??? 11:30 Hiking to Mirador Cap de la Barra and descent to Platgeta de Estartit. Picnic at the beach. (Easy hike and for all levels). 18:00 Lazy gathering at the campsite / Go for ice-cream in town. There are many ice-cream shops that look amazing. 20:30 Crêpes night. We cook crêpes but you bring the filling. SUNDAY JUNE THE 8TH------------------------------------------------------- 09:00 Breakfast together + Couchsurfing souvenir. 11:00 Boat trip around the isles and the cliffs + optional swim in the natural reserve. 14:00 Lunch at Cervecería restaurant. It's a place that basically has sandwiches and burgers. 16:00 Free time. 20:00 Tortilla & Croquetas night and other Spanish products. The organizers will cook Tortilla and croquetas but this is meant to be a potluck event where everyone brings something to share. MONDAY JUNE THE 9th------------------------ 9:00 Breakfast together 11:00 Checkout (we can leave cars and bags inside the campsite) 11:30 Joint decision on what to do -chill in Long beach in Estartit. -drive to cala Montgó ACCOMMODATION Campsite Estartit (chill and familiar): http://www.campingestartit.com/ Please, book your own bungalow / tent spot, or keep an eye to our conversation thread of the event to see who wants to share theirs. EVENT COSTS: The events that are organized by private companies have a cost but it's not mandatory to attend: -Boat trip: 22€ -Barbecue at the campsite: (We will post the price soon) HOW TO ARRIVE in l'Estartit from Barcelona? TRAIN: To Girona and then bus to L'estartit. BUS: You have regular buses departing from El Nord bus station in Barcelona. DO NOT FORGET: -Swimsuit. -Sunscreen -Beach towel -Good vibes -Towel and sleeping bag if your bungalow does not include it.
