✨ Horse Racing Picnic - Ladies Day ✨ The tradition of horse racing dates back to the Middle Ages but the first horse racing track was established in 1833 on the territory of the current ZOO & Centennial Hall. The new racetrack was put into operation in 1907 & was the most modern hippodrome in all of Germany. Before the start of WWI, the Partynice racetrack hosted many races. Some people even lost their entire fortunes there. The Partynicki racetrack survived the siege of Festung Breslau almost intact & the horses raced here even during World War II - until 1941. 💎 What's more, 3 of the world's largest archaeological deposits of amber were found in Partynice. Excavated in 1906 & 1936, all 3 amber finds date back to I BC and weighted between 1,200 and 1,760 kg. Unfortunately, none of the deposits survived the siege of Festung Breslau. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ◦: ✧✲✧ :◦━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ It will be a day full of unforgettable emotions 🥳! On this day, we encourage all ladies to opt for unique outfits: hats, fascinators, and statement accessories are a must. It’s a great opportunity to experience the atmosphere of world-class racetracks, become part of the day’s unique setting, and compete for attractive prizes. Although Ladies Day is associated with fashion and elegance, on this day, the program features as many as seven races, including flat, hurdle and steeplechase events.
