Hello Couchsurfers! It's spring! One of the most beautiful moments to enjoy the beauty of the mountains. I propose to travel to Vall de Núria, a very typical place for locals to visit that you can't miss! https://www.valldenuria.cat/estiu/ Hello Couchsurfers! HOW TO GET THERE? You won't believe it but it's possible to arrive only by using public transport. Take line R3 Renfe (departing from Plaça Catalunya or Arc de Triomf), to the town Ribes de Freser. Then, take a cremallera train from Ribes de Freser to Vall de Nuria. At night it will be cold but during the day it might get really hot. Also, there is no supermarket or shop where to buy food. Everything you want to bring, you should buy it before you arrive. Don't panic, there is a hostel and a hotel over there in which you can buy sandwiches, eat a meal o have a coffee. So, VERY IMPORTANT list of things: -raincoat / jacket. -hiking shoes -bottle of water. -sunscreen. -food to eat during the hikings. ACCOMMODATIONS: 1.Albergue NIU DE L'ALIGA (recommended). Also known as Alberg Núria Xanascat. This is the cheapest option. If you want to come for the whole weekend, make your own reservation. The price is 15€ per night in shared room (only sleep). There are other "more private" room options which are more expensive. Important: Booking.com might be fully booked by now. You have to telephone the hostel directly to make a reservation. For breakfast or dinner, tell the albergue, but everything is quite cheap. 2.Vall de Nuria hotel. Quite luxurious. It also offers appartments. EVENT PLANNING Saturday 26/04 -12:00 Welcome everyone by the lake and picnic lunch. We can also go for a coffee at the hostel.
