Dear Couchsurfers, This event is to celebrate that Barcelona was the SECOND most visited city by Couchsurfers in 2023!!!!!!! The city of Barcelona was founded by the Romans who were dedicated to conquer Europe. They first arrived in Spain (city of Empuries, Costa Brava) in the year 218 BC and began to spread throughout the Peninsula. Do you know that the Romans arrived in Barcelona area with the only purpose of establishing a tiny settlement of retired soldiers? Do you know that they were first to enjoy the culture of wellness related to hot waters? I propose this event in order to learn more about the history of Barcelona and sorrounding areas while we enjoy the company of fellow couchsurfers. This is a two-day event with two different day-settings: the first day we will meet in Caldes de Montbui town, and the second in Barcelona city.
