I would practice my French-speaking skills (very basic level). Where I can find someone who might want to help me?

I will be living in Compiegne for 1 month (end-Jan to end-Feb) with my boyfriend and I am looking forward to finding someone with who I can practice my really basic French-speaking skills in a more or less regular base during that period. What is the best place to try to find someone prior to our arrival?

You can contact ESN Espéranto, they usally do a buddy-system, as it's just for one month, ask them to organize it before all students come back for the 2nd semester. https://compiegne.esnfrance.org/what-esn

You can also volunteer, at my work we welcome volunteer to work with people with disabilities, most of them don't speak english, so you would have to talk in french. Let me know if you are interested :)
