Rohingya translaters wanted
Dear people of Cox's Bazar, I am Dániel Németh, a 25 years old Hungarian student and I will soon visit your land to carry out research. The research is about the coping strategies of the Rphingya refugees of Kutupalong in the face of the coming monsoon season and I would like to carry out interviews with these refugees. Since I don't speak any of the local languages I will need to hire some translators who can help me with the interviews. Please let me know if you know a (or more) Rohingya person who speaks English well!
It would be the best to have translators who
reside within the refugee camp (or nearby)
are also Rohingya refugees or at least can see the situation from their perspective
is available for at least two days a week in May and June
is familiar with social sciences and particularly with the method of interviewing (if not, I will teach first)
It is not required to have any official document about being a translator or about English language proficiency, but it would be very good if she/he had an online presence (e-mail adress, facebook profile, whatsapp number...) so I could contact her/him soon.
Thanks a lot for your help,
Daniel
