Can anyone recommend any good places to eat? Also, any recommendations on bars would be good to know too! Thanks :)
Myself, my boyfriend, and two of our friends will be visiting Fort Lauderdale later this year and are very much into eating! If anyone could recommend some places to eat that would be great! we love all types of food to be honest. We also will probably visit some bars and so if anyone could recommend anywhere cool or fun to go I'd really appreciate it! We are happy to go somewhere casual, or somewhere not so casual!

Cool bar/food is Riverside market ft. lauderdale. If you get up to Delray Beach, there are a lot of cool bars and restaurants on Atlantic Ave!
In downtown Ft. Lauderdale you can go to Las Olas, which is an area full of restaurants and bars. Depending on what you like, clubs, bars, live music, etc. I can make some more detailed recommendations. South Beach is pretty wild if you like clubs. My favorites are Atlantic Ave in Delray Beach (Not Atlantic bld. In Pompano) and clematis street in west palm. South Florida’s economy is largely based on entertainment so you won’t have trouble finding good places. If you want a specific type of thing ask and I’ll point them out. Have fun!
The best place in north Miami to eat is big slicks! It’s a small shop and only locals know it but it’s the best sandwiches and food ever. All fresh and really good
Getting fat and drunk, my two favourite things in the world...
For restaurants definitely give Los Verdes a try, it's a local franchise of latin fast food. Burgers are ridiculously delicious. My second favourite would be a good 20 minute drive to Wynwood for Coyo Taco. Famous Mexican joint with a fantastically hidden bar/club. For a quick meal in between beaching, local franchise Miami Subs is good and it packs an almost Hollywood flick mafia story. Sticking to FTL my favourite local joint is Ye Olde Falcon Pub. It's a dive bar for young people. Cheap drinks and good food. I believe they were runner ups in a fish and chips competition statewide. But for clubs in the area, I hit up Mojitobar (Latin bar) after shopping at Sawgrass, and then finish up in historic downtown where you have a club or bar for most of your preferences. There's like 20 or so of them in one block. Don't expect Miami style clubbing, but it's cheaper and if you don't like one, you go next door to the next one.
depends on your budget but if your going to south beach i recommend Ted's Hideaway for a bar/hangout place. if your in the mood for pizza you should check out the Nutella Pizza over at Pizza Bar. another good place is Big Pink which is owned by Myles Restaurant Group who also own the more expensive Prime Restaurants (Prime 112, Prime Fish, and Prime Italian).
One of my favorite places is S3 Restaurant (Sun, Surf, Sand) right on Ft Lauderdale beach... its a tapas style restaurant with an awesome vibe. Only thing is it can get a little pricy.... A cheaper option would be Taco Beach Shack on Hollywood Beach.... Awesome outdoor bar with cheap tacos and cheap drinks ;) Who doesn't love tacos? (They're really good).... In Davie, theres a hidden gem called Pho79 if you're into vietnamese Pho or trying new things... I recommend it! Late late night (like 4am, 5am, 6am) go to a gas station across from the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood and you will find a guy parked there with a smoker and grill making $10 plates of Jerk Chicken and other BBQ options until the early hours of the morning - seems sketchy, but sooooo good. You won't regret it! As for bars - The Parrot is a good one. Gives you a dive bar vibe in an upscale location. I'm not sure if you're into like the "crazy - let's get plastered" scene (Haha!) but the Riverfront on Las Olas Blvd is a great place for that. Good bars, great music, very cheap drinks (Ladies drink free on thursdays) and its a strip so you can bounce between places. Hope this helps!
I like roccos tacos, it also has a nice bar area
S3 on the beach is hands down the nicest and coolest spot to have dinner at night. Also, most of the restaurants on Las Olas are tasty as well. I’m gonna give you my best of haha
Overall( food + view + vibe): S3 Steak place: Chima or steak954 $$$ View: Aruba Seafood: Rustic House Sushi: Sushi Rock Greek: Greek Isles Italian: Cafe Martotano or Louis Bossi’s Plant Based/Vegan: Greenbar
NY Grill Cheese is an amazing spot in Wilton Manors. As far as bars Las Olas has a strip of bars and restaurants as well as downtown Ft. Lauderdale. Can’t go wrong with either. But if you have a car and some time try to make it down Wynwood!
Eat at Rok Burger! Drink at Poor House, Fat Cats or Riverside Market! Riverside is a very unique place, 100% worth a visit. Good food there as well!
