A Coen's X-Mas
So the plan was not a tight one: I thought I would go to P-town, and Busk my wAy to the &&&s I would need to live... It is a good damn thing I had brought my Kilt. Lydias Parents took a liking to me at first until... They put 1+1 together and figured out that we would and having been sleeping with 1+1=2 how does that funny song go (hey Mr.. I really like you're daughter, when I'm hungry like thirsty she's like a bottle of water)
So I bail out after spending two nights in SE, and another night in NE P-town, then on my way to Front off the Max line I fell into the Yahmhill... Kilted from making $$$ thank you Portland for taking such good care of a young artist
The Oregon Lotto also kicked in $30 winnings, and the pitchers flew about the yahmhill until I was drunk, and had been promised a room to stay...until Justine my host to be reneged on his offer, leaving me pissed drunk in the rain cold streets... I quickly, and publicly told him to Fuck himself for putting me in this unappealing place.
Almost as quickly as I has told Justine off, I was back on the street making USD's hand over fist, when a man from the Yahmhill asked me back to the Yahmill offering me a place to stay. I did stay there but not until someone had stolen every possessions I owned. Liberating! The sleep was so kilted I had nothing left to change into or out of.
The next morning (Christ-mass-Eve) I was already dressed for the show, So I set up and jammed a bit, and just as I was about to leave, run off my corner by the trumpeting Mexican Santa, Channel 8 news gave me a spirit of Scottish present interview/sound bite. Rock And Roll!
That was by far the highlight, I had made enough money, like 60 dollars an hour that morning to keep us in fun, and food for the day... That night...
Lydia and I wanted to stay down town for some x-mass gifting of our own, I knew about the Kent (a little known hostel in the middle of P-town) We needed 34.50 for the two of us. She Went to work on a corner with her Guitar in hand...looking Very much like a Russian refugee. I jammed my gig...and In an hour I had earned 45 or 50 bucks...she Had $1 in some coins... What a little trooper.
Getting our room we set out for eve dinner, a can of dean fish, pringels, mickies,a burrito/the rest on the night is history!
Christ-Mass-Day! I go right to work waiting for Lydia to catch her train back to NE...I Made $7 in 10 Min... Then I found a cup Coffee in the Meriot...Then I hitched 300 miles in a Kilt through Snow Storms and Rain Flashed floods, and good Eugene weather... To a big Smoked Turkey Family Din-Din...A Good time if I ever had one.
Coenish!!! More Coens Looking For Coens than Ever Before~
