Chocolate factory - where to find?

Hi All, I am visiting Zurich this weekend and as Switzerland is famous for its chocolate I am looking for a place where I could learn how to make some or simply just participate in this process. I did some research over the net but I couldn't find anything interesting (location is outside Zurich or there are no courses during the weekend or there are no places left...). I thought that there might be some opportunities known for local people only, less commercial and popular that those I have already found. Would you help?

I think the closest to Zurich (and one of the best chocolates) is, in fact, Lindt & Sprüngli, the one that's famous all over the world. http://www.lindt.ch/en/die-welt-von-lindt/live-chocolate-experiences/chocolateria/ I have never been and I'm not sure if you can just go. Otherwise you could visit Frey in Buchs, which is farther away but in Switzerland distances aren't that big ;)

Or if you want a really "artisan" factory, come to Lucerne and visit Max Chocolatier! ;)

I can also recommend Maestrani in Hinwil or especially Camille Bloch (Ragusa!), but that's quite far away from Zürich. Aeschbach Chocolatier in Root is not so interesting to watch.

Girls love chocolate!! Recommend the Aeschbach Chocolatier in Root. I've been there. The visiting area for visitors are not so big ( the real manufacturing area is big but it has very high standard of hygiene so visitors are not allowed to be there.). So you can know the chocolate history, materials there as well as making your own chocolate. When you buy train tickets, if there is "super saver" option on the app, buy it, it is much cheaper. (I havent used it, because I use the Swisspass GA Karte, but I've heard it is super cheap). Have fun!

I‘m teacher and was going to this exposition with studends and couchsurfing friends!!! It‘s amazing! Lots of information about chocolate, eating chocolate from the chocolate bar, interactiv things to do!!! I highly recommend it. It‘s easy accessible by train and bus!

By the way: there are also two other famous things in Zürich:

Fifa-Museum (football)
Cabaret voltair (coffeeshop where Dadaism was founded)
